Satellite Communication
Calculators
- HAAT - Height Above Average Terrain. Simply enter your antenna height, and your antenna's latitude and longitude, and the HAAT calculator will tell you the antenna's height in relation to the terrain within a 10 mile radius. Very cool and useful.
- How Far Is It? - Enter two cities, two sets of and latitude/longitude coordinates, or a combination of the two. The calculator will return straight line distance between the two points.
- AMSAT Gridsquare Conversion - Converts between Maidenhead locator and latitude/longitude.
PSK31
- RSQ - RSQ (Readability, Strength, Quality) is a proposal for improved PSK31 signal reporting. This page has good information about PSK signaling. Their proposal seems like a good one to me so I'll be using it.
Electronic QSLing
- eQSL - eQSL is a great way to exchange QSL cards electronically. Its easy to use and I get a return about 50% of the time.
- LoTW - ARRL's Logbook of The World has been a disappointment to me. It is not as easy to use as eQSL and I only get about 15% of my QSLs returned. The only reason I still upload my logs to LoTW is to support other Hams who use it.
